Southern Continent

The climate range is cool temperate in the north to polar (tundra) in the south. The tundra rapidly Blooms with a purple plant that covers the ground during that area’s spring and summer weeks. In those seasons satellite images show there are herds/swarms of the same large insectoid grazing beasts feeding on the plant. This grazing beast seems to have a large temperature range it is capable of surviving in.
